Welcome to Veilify. This guide walks you through connecting your wallet and making your first private deposit.

Requirements

  • A wallet that supports custom networks: MetaMask, Rabby, Rainbow, Coinbase Wallet and others.
  • EIP-1559 transaction support.
  • A little ETH on Robinhood Chain for the one-time key registration and your first deposit. Testnet users can use the faucet.

Onboarding steps

Connect wallet

Open the Veilify app and click Connect Wallet.

Generate keys

Your wallet asks you to sign a typed-data message:
Derive view-only keys for your Veilify account
Your viewing keys are derived from this signature. You never need to back them up. Sign the same message again on any device and you get the same keys.
This signature cannot move funds. It only lets the app read your veiled balance.

Switch network

The app asks your wallet to add Veilify Network and switch to it. From now on, transactions you send on Veilify Network are private.

Register your inbox key

One on-chain transaction on Robinhood Chain publishes your inbox key. After that, anyone can send you private funds. It is a standard contract call. Confirm it in your wallet.
A registered inbox key is permanent. Registering again with the same wallet is a no-op.

Deposit funds

Deposit ETH or a supported token. After the gatekeeper approves it, the amount appears in your veiled balance. See Depositing.

The dashboard

  • Veiled balance: your veiled balance across all tokens.
  • Next round: countdown to the next round departure.
  • Quick actions: Deposit, Send, Withdraw, Swap.
  • Activity: deposits, transfers and withdrawals, with queued, delivered, failed and cancelled states.
