A private transfer moves value from your veiled balance to another user’s veiled balance. Nothing about the payment is public except that some private transfer happened.

Requirements

  • Your wallet is on Veilify Network.
  • The recipient has a registered inbox key. The app checks this before you sign.
  • Your veiled balance covers the amount plus the relayer fee.

Send

1

Enter recipient and amount

Paste a normal 0x address and an amount. Pick the token.
2

Review

The app shows the amount, the relayer fee and the token the fee is paid in.
3

Sign

Your wallet shows a normal send on Veilify Network, for example “Send 0.5 ETH to 0xAlice”. Confirm it.
4

Proved and relayed

Veilify Network proves the transfer and a relayer submits it. The recipient’s balance updates as soon as their proxy scans the new note.

What is public

Notes and change

A transfer consumes up to six input notes and creates three outputs:
  1. the recipient’s note
  2. your change note
  3. your fee change note
If your balance is spread across more than six notes, the app consolidates first, or asks you to send a smaller amount (too_many_notes).
Sending to an address that has never registered an inbox key fails with ReceivingKeyNotFound. Ask the recipient to open Veilify once and register.
