The pool hides which deposit funded which withdrawal. But deposits and withdrawals are public. Anyone watching can still guess at links using three clues.

Address

Withdrawing to the address that deposited is a direct link.

Amount

1.2847 ETH in, 1.2847 ETH out. Unique amounts are fingerprints.

Time

Deposit at 10:02, withdraw at 10:05. Close timing narrows the crowd.

Five habits

1

Use a fresh address

Withdraw to an address with no history linked to your deposit. Veilify warns you with recipient_is_depositor.
2

Use round amounts

Pick a preset: 10, 100 or 1,000 USDG, or 0.01, 0.1 or 0.5 ETH. Round amounts look like everyone else’s.
3

Wait for a round

Use Round mode, so you leave at a shared time instead of the moment you click.
4

Wait longer

The more deposits and withdrawals happen between your entry and exit, the larger your crowd. Pick a later round.
5

Stagger

Break a large exit into legs, to different fresh addresses, across different rounds.

Inside the pool is different

Private transfers reveal none of the three clues. Sender, recipient, amount and token are all hidden. If you are paying another Veilify user, send privately instead of withdrawing and re-depositing.
